STUDENT PASSAGE COMPARISON

Student Passage Comparison

During my time at Measured Progress, an educational assessment company, the Common Core standards were introduced. To comply with the Common Core standards, we needed a way for a student to compare 2 to 3 writing passages with a series of associated questions within a test. Our goal then was to allow the student to switch views with a minimum number of mouse clicks or touchscreen taps. Combined there was 16 unique views to contend with. Making a list of all the possible views would be overwhelming, so we found a way to create multiple view switchers on each content tab.

Through many iterations and white board sketches, I developed a system of menus that would allow the student to change views from either side of the testing area within 2 clicks.
