Listening is the first step in good design
I came to user experience design by way of art, history, museums, social media, education and technology. What has always been consistent for me is that I care about the people I am helping. No information-packed museum tour was worth the time if the visitors didn’t come away feeling that the tour was structured around them and had personal importance. I’m gutted to find out when teachers struggle with their classroom technology.
User experience is about solving problems. We don’t know the problems to solve or what a solution looks like until we listen first and listen often. If you feel the same way, please get in touch - working with like-minded folks is a pleasure.
